Hi:
I was allowed to examined a Sig-Sauer P-245 that was being traded even for a Taurus Judge 45/410 Revolver plus a 50rd box of.45 Colt ammo.
The Sig was NIB and felt good in the hand.
Is this model Sig new on the market and what do they retail for?
Anyone used one?
Thanks,
Jimmy

The P245 was actually dropped from the lineup a few years back, replaced by the P220 Carry. The 245 has a shortened grip and slide; the 220C only has the shorter slide.
Retail around here is the same for other SIGs, $550 used to $800 new.

A P245 is my normal carry gun. If it feels good in your hand, I predict you would love it. These are typically a love or hate thing. It fits your hand or it don't.

Dead sure reliable and very accurate. The easiest takedown of any auto pistol I've ever handled. I luvs mine.

Thats the thing I love about my Sig and Berettas are darn near that easy. I love my P6 and 229. The takedown makes it really simple to swap from .40 to .357 sig in just a matter of minutes.

Forgot to mention. The P245 is out of production, but you can buy the p220 compact. The p220 compact differs in having the extended beavertail frame and a milled slide instead of the folded slide.

Many people like to add the floorplate from the p220 compact to their P245. It will give you a slightly longer grip.

I believe that is true of all P series Sigs. People claim Glocks are easy to take down, but not as quick as Sig, IMO.

I have owned two P245's, had both converted to DAO, and traded both. They are nice guns, down the road they will be more valueable than the small P220's that replaced it, I believe. As stated above, not all hands will fit it.

Hi, LoadedRound:
No I did not buy it.
I am in the process of "Down Sizing" due to medical issues.
However the thought of "Making It Mine" did gallop across the vast wasteland of my mind.

Sorry to hear about the health problems.
Very best get well wishes.

If you're ever up this way, you can always shoot my P245.
