I finally got the pushrods, rocker arms and intake installed on my 351 Cleveland. The pushrods were out of stock for a while so I had to wait. They are now in. I have the rest of the parts in my cart. Hopefully I will have it running on a stand soon. I went with a HEI distributor because I had good experience with them before. I opted for the simplicity of not having to deal with a coil or a separate brain. My salvaged air cleaner won’t fit. But the stock valve covers do. I should be receiving my correct exhaust manifolds soon. I missed a small detail early in the build I have to go back and correct. Otherwise the build is picking up steam again.

I will be taking my top loader to a transmission shop to swap the input shaft. I have some front brakes parts ready for me to buy. And I will start working on my wiring shortly. Hopefully I can start driving my Torino soon. It would be nice having a second running car instead of just one for once.

I basically finished with my Allegros roof. I fixed all the leaks and coated it. I tell y’all what. I can’t wait to finish my Torino and Allegro and hit the road. With all the weird family revelations I’ve had this year I need to take a break from central Texas. I just found out I was lied to about my biological father being dead and I have other siblings (they are actually pretty cool). My life has become a red neck soap opera

Looks good, Ghost! I can't help you with the family soap opera issues, but that is one righteous Cleveland engine...thanks for sharing it with us.

If you're on Facebook, you should join the group called Engine Porn...you'd love it.

Please post more photos when you can...thanks!

No one can help me with soap opera issues. But it will be one hell of a book one day. Lol. ‘The red neck, the muscle car & the motorhome’ or ‘once upon a time in central Texas’.

Thank you though! It’s been a very interesting build. The whole car has been. I’m actually more satisfied building this instead of the other more exotic engines I had in the past. It’s smaller with similar output and not another Windsor engine. With the aluminum parts it wove less stress on the Motorhome to tow.

I'm not a car guy. An old buddy had a Torino with that engine. It was a screamer. Amazing how we survived the old days.
