Relining Mauser Pistol Barrels
I have a Mauser pistol whose barrel is pretty bad. It's a shooter, not a collector's item, and i'd like to get it relined. Some years ago there were a lot of outfits that did this work, mainly on the flood of Mausers comign in from China in NRA 'boat anchor' condition. Does anyone have any experience, good or bad on companies that reline Mauser pistol barrels; I don't want to pick a pig in a poke and get a lemon, to mix metaphors?

Back 20 years ago I had Mentor Arms in Ohio reline mine. It now shoots great. They also went through it and replaced a couple of parts that were badly worn or were low quality Chinese replacements. Good company. Unfortunately I have no idea if they are still in business.

Redmans still does reline work to original 7.63Mauser on C96 pistols.
Price was $175 last I checked.
They don't do rebores to 9mmLuger anymore though.
A rebore to 9mmLuger would make for a cheaper to shoot option but there aren't as many 'smiths around doing that work anymore it seems.
Clearwater Reboring does pistol barrels but does not do any rechambering, recrowning, etc.... $150.
That doesn't help much for most folks,,
