Is the one you have in your hand....
when some guy just asked you for your wallet 5 seconds earlier. Beauty is in the eye of...well you know the rest. It's like everybody thinks their kid is the cutest. For me ,it's the pistol or revolver that fires every time ,all the time. But if I must choose,I guess a model 36 with a iwb holster.

Wow Onomea! Everything about that gun is awesome! The case hardening on the hammer and trigger set of the blue which is set off by the gold rings which are set off by the tastefully done engraving which is all set off by the ivories! Amazing! Just totally handsome!

Onenma, now you have me thinking. I have this old HD, or model 20 , that I already have converted to a .44 special but never had refinished. Years ago I found a .44 special barrel off a 21 and sat on it forever. Finaly this HD showed up for $165s and I had a gunsmith friend but the barrel on and rechamber the clyinders. Thats all. It shoots great. Maybe I might get a guru to refinish it? Yours sure looks fine!

Thanks for the kind words on my Bowen HD conversion, fellas.
Merril, take a look at this post #51 here: Period correct, quality refinishing - why does it kill collector value?
I think what I would do with your conversion, if I had the time, would be to try to do the prep work, the sanding with increasingly fine grit paper, myself, to get a mirror finish. All the experts say that is what really makes a finish -- the prep work. Then once that is done, I'd send it out for a reblue to a high-end refinish guy. (Not that I've ever done this myself, ya understand! Just sayin'! Say, I like those stags, too!)

Pretty, is subjective.
My pretty is the 640 Centenial. In this case the 640-2, NYPD .38s. I like them so much I have two!

To me the 1860 Army Colt is one the most pleasing guns to the eye
But for an all business look, the 3 1/2 inch 27-2 can't be beat either.
But the 24-3 has a look all its own with the 6 1/2 barrel

I like pythons too. I have these two. I have both grips + some custom ones. I am not good with waxing and pictures though.

A 3 1/2" N frame M27 . . . and in nickel for the "purdy" part . . .
And although not a "purdy" . . . but at least it is "handsome," yet all business . . .

I'm not ordinarily fond of the looks of bodyguards, but this little gem is really starting to grow on me. It has "old school" charm, and there's a certain beauty in objects that are all about function:

They are all pretty to me, but the prettiest has to be the Colt 1861.

Older L Frame
Was awarded this beauty for PPC shooting -- back in the day. California Governor's 20. As with many of my S&W's, this one also enjoys Hurst grip panels. Cheers

You got it Lou!
I also appreciate Shoo's Korth, I like my 4" Royal Blue Python pretty well too, and I have a new Ruger (don't laugh) GP-100 Royal Phoenix edition, with some beautiful Hogue Walnut grips that will give a run for the money believe it or not, if you haven't seen one.
But, in Hamilton Bowen's book, he has pictures of the prettiest revolvers of all time to me. One is a Ruger Redhawk he turned into an M&P on steroids, another is the Bisley he did for some curly-headed IPSC guy (Ross Seyfried), and another Blackhawk with octagonal barrel, full-length ejector rod housing, and barrel band front sight. Wish I had the guns, but I'd settle for pictures!
