Okay, a weird post, I admit...but when I look at the women of music in the 1970's I get nostalgic for both their looks and their styles...Karen Carpenter, Susan Jacks, the ABBA ladies..kept their clothes on.

I always thought Marilyn McCoo (5th Dimension) was very pretty and the voice of an angel!

I thought Stevie Nicks was downright.....
....attractive and that deep voice was very, well.....sexy.
Patti Smith was about the homeliest women ever. Hanging out with Robert Mapplethorpe didn't help her attractiveness.
Dolly Parton early on before she started wearing 10 tons of makeup. And being such a live wire didn't hurt.
Toni Tennille could give you some pangs.
Sheena Easton was quite a looker with the right hair/makeup.
Bonnie Raitt - looking good
Grace Slick wasn't the BEST looking but enough to give a young boy dreams.
Mary Hopkin, Crystal Gayle, Brenda Lee, Pat Benatar, Petula Clark.
OK, Patti Boyd Harrison Clapton didn't sing, but was she hot or what?
Not my speed but Tina Turner stayed hot the older she got.

I never thought Joni Mitchell to be 'attractive', but she did have the exotic, brooding look, which I understand is how she really is.
Barbra Streisand doesn't do much for me but she had kind of a 'come back' period when she was in great shape and I think she did a spread in 'Playboy'.

She was a bit earlier, but was still singing torch songs in the '70's. None other than Julie London. Wickedly beautiful. Bobby Troupe was such a lucky guy!

Toni Tenille could sing to me anytime. Never knew what she saw in Daryl.
Had Karen Carpenter eaten a few Happy Meals, maybe she would have been happier.
Maria Muldaur could spend midnights at the oasis with me anytime.
