Never thought I'd get to say this again. Kobe for the win! Good dog. Good dog.

Dogs/animals are a lot more intelligent and capable than we know. They just communicate differently. Like humans, in so many ways, they are also a product of how they’re raised. That’s a good dog, and good/fortunate owner!!

Many dogs are smarter than some people give them credit for. I posted on a similar thread how dogs can smell cancer in a person, detect an upcoming seizure, hear or smell termites, gas leaks, obviously, and we've all heard how they detect unexploded bombs from a previous war, underwater corpses or under what's left of a building, etc., etc. Mine is just a < 2 year old pup, but she can sense a panhandler vs someone who just wants to pet her through the car window. Cats and other domestics all have sometimes untapped abilities we don't even know yet, I believe. Sacrificial canaries should be in my living room when the wife falls asleep on the couch! (Oh, please, that was a sick joke!)

In Columbus, we were the Bed Bug capital of the US about 12 years ago. There was a guy we hired to go in apartments and have his dog sniff out bed bugs. 32 unit building, 5 units had bed bugs, we treated those and all touching units. killed them all! Works great, but only if the tenants care enough not bring in more! But the dog was great!
