Default Any reviews on a Barska Biometric Safe?

Hey all,

I was trying to decide between getting reloading equipment or a safe for the guns. I can't afford a "big" safe right now, but I'm considering the Barska Biometric Safe and was wondering if anyone heard anything good/bad/indifferent about them?

Barska Biometric Safe

As soon as i can afford a rifle size safe then I'll get one, but I'd like to get something that is fast and easy for my wife to open should the need arise. That is why I'm looking at biometric safes. I should have 3 semi-autos soon and I think this safe should handle them fine. Its almost 0.8 cuft.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Mat

Haven't read too many good reviews on Barska products at all. I think I would go with a Gunvault.

Gunvault's first biometric safes had significant problems. They pulled them off the shelves and started over again. From what I understand, it looks as though they got it right this time.

Because the Barska safes are new, I would let someone else do the test and eval on them before I bought one.

Read the 100s of reviews for Gunvault Biometric safes on Amazon alone.

Most say they are a disaster from how difficult it s to access/change batteries, to the lifetime of the batteries, to the high malfunction rate.

Then go read the Barska feedback, there are hundreds as well, but most everyone is great.

I decided on the Barska and it works great.
