Default Meanwhile Back at the Machine Gun Shoot...

Took in the MG shoot south of Casper WY for the third time Friday. Good time had by all, capped by the best fireworks display I've ever seen. Those guys must have been ace mortarmen because they covered the night sky. Impressive!

Met a fellow forum member, Gilabender (nice old .44 S&W there) and shot a few more full auto items to add to the list. The M14 in full auto truly is uncontrollable, and the AR-10 is even worse! Thanks to a fellow Gunsite alumnus I got to play with a scout-scoped (Weaver) Socom M1A, and now I know I want that setup on the Garand...

Ma Deuce is still the coolest thing ever. And the wife wants to shoot the GE minigun next year or else.

Truly the most fun you can have without parental approval.

Cool

Sounds like everyone had a great time. Was wondering if the group that puts this show on has a web site,as I would like to check out any photos or clips that were taken at this event.

Sounds like fun. Guess I need to get to Casper more often, as I have some ranch land just north of it. Seems like a cool state for guns. Bud

I've been going to this shoot for four years now as a shooter/vendor. The folks in Wyoming are the nicest bunch I've encountered at these types of events.

Mr. & Mrs. BG stopped at my position to chat. It was funny because what caught his eye was my beater Model of 1926 .44 transitional riding in an old Colorado Saddlery holster on my hip. Nice to meet you Tom!

Here's a link to a shoot video made by a crewman from the Stuart tank reeneactors. They put my M1919A4 Browning .30 cal machine gun on the tank and had a blast with it.

If any SWCA member happens to be at a machine gun shoot in AZ, CO, or WY or at the Crossroads Show in Phoenix in December feel free to stop by "R&R Exotic Machines" for a demo or to chat about MG's, Gatling guns, S&W's, or just to meet 'n greet! I always enjoy talking to other S&W junkies!

Cheers!
