New work boot opinions.

I like Danners - I've got a US-made pair going over a dozen years (many re-solings in that time; I walk a lot). The Chinese-made pair only lasted about 8, and had structural deterioration during that time.

Another vote for USA made Thorogoods. Bad to the Bone!
Steel toe loggers, comfy and quality!

I've been wearing Justin packers for years. Most supportive and comfortable for me. I think they are American, I hope so.

Just looked on the back of the tongue on my RedWings. Made in China. Darn good boots though. Waterproof and feel pretty good even after 12 hours. Stock # 435 if that means anything.

I buy Thorogood. USA made, Union Made. That is important to me. And cheaper than Red wings.

42 Years as an ironworker and I agree. Not only American made but Union made and they fit right out of the box . Used to do Redwings but over the years they hurt my feet. Thorogood are great

Whites for me also. Even with their cheaper Hawthorne line you get 7-10 years of everyday use and a rebuild for 1/2 the cost of new.

I've worn boots everyday for work for many years. My favorites are Danner and Red Wings. Unfortunately, I'm not supposed to wear Red Wings at work anymore (they don't meet fire resistance requirement). Spending a little extra on a pair of boots will give you exponentially longer service and a lot more comfort for your feet.

Worked in the trades for 30+ yrs and am a Redwing guy (though I'm gonna look into Thorogood).
