I just finished a book entitled "War of the Rats" by David Robbins. It's about the exploits of Soviet sniper Vassilli Zaitzev. It included the famous duel between him and the German sniper Erwin Konig. Interestingly enough, Zaitsev said in his biography that although he did in fact carry on a three day duel with a German sniper, there was no evidence that it was Konig.
Anyway, it was a very good read and I highly recommend it for anyone intesested in the Second World War, or just good war stories.

On your recommendation, I just ordered it from Amazon. Thanks,

I think you will enjoy it. I found it on my Nook. My wife got the Nook for me for Xmas and I have gotten back into reading in a big way. I know lots of people say they prefer the book in their hands. I thought I would feel that way too, but it's great to have 50 or so books in your hands when you travel, have to wait at a doctors office, etc.

I enjoyed it also. Glad I didn't have to live through those years there.
