Did anyone go this weekend? I tryed to get away but family had me every where but.

I attended the Birch Run Show on Saturday. The usual suspects were in attendance. Both arenas were full of tables, but customers were a little sparse. One exception was that Al (Handshake Al) Stark was not there. Rumor is he has some health issues and has to limit travel. I was mostly looking for blued revolvers and nothing really jumped out at me. I did buy some 38 special and 357 ammo that was sort of pieced together from lots of places. Looked like several boxes of ammo fell open on the floor and was put back in the first box that had room. It was all factory ammo, from 4 factories (no reloads) but contained, round nose, flat nose, hollow point and who knows what all. I paid about $8 a box, so for shoot it up stuff, I thought that was a good deal. Stopped at Bullocks, Williams Gun Sight and the new shop in Lapeer on the way home. Other than the ammo, I saved my money for another day.

Sounds like I didn't miss much. I had another friend go and he said the same.
I do like Great Lakes Gun Shop in Lapeer too. Joe's a character.
