Hey,

So I saw my last thread derail into a car discussion so I figure we need to bring up a classic car thread. So what is your Favorite old car and do you have one?

Here is my 1970 Chevy Nova with 62,427.5 original miles. Needless to say's it's my favorite. Purchased it as my first car just before my 16th birthday. Have had her for over 15 years now. She is the reason for my username as well, as you can see by the license plate.

Most of her is original. She has had some body work, rear quarters replaced. Has an entire new front suspension & rear suspension, Koni adjustable shocks all around, multi-leaf rear springs with Cal-trac adjustable traction bars, 12 bolt posi rear-end (4.10's) from a 69 Camaro (still have the original). Has bucket seats out of a 66 Nova (still have the original bench), original AM radio replaced with Kenwood tape deck--which also controls 6 disc changer, new front speakers & rear speakers are mounted below dash so as not to change the original look. When I can afford to get her out of storage in the garage again, am looking to replace the original 307 and powerglide with a crate 350 and Tremec TKO 5 speed.

Either an Alfa Romeo Giulia Veloce, from about 1965, or any of the Bertone-bodied coupes from a few years later, preferably 1750 or 2000 cc. No, I don't have either any more.

Probly a 1955 Chevy BelAir. But, I don't have one.

I do have one of these - She'll do until I get tired of her and need another project.

I've had my '70 Mach 1 since May of 1982. It was an original R-code 428 CJ with A/C but had a 390 in it when I bought it. I stuffed a bored and stroked 427 sideoiler (454 cid) in it and went drag racing for a few years. It has the factory shaker hood, front and rear spoilers, C-6 automatic (full manual valve body, reverse pattern), 4.11 Traction-Lok 31-spline 9" rear end, and a fold down rear seat. It showed 42,000 miles when I bought it and it now shows 49,000.

In addition to Colt and S&W revolvers, one of my other passions.

Had this 330 GTS for more than 30 years. Still my all time favorite car

mach1-were those miles put on 1/4mile at a time? i drove a 1970 boss 302 for about 7 yrs. that was hotted up.

Since I'm basically a Ford guy, it pains me to say this, but.....If I had my choice of classic muscle cars it would be a '67 GTO.

Mine would be an AC Cobra all the way, but with the value of an original that's not gonna happen! Maybe someday I'll build a kit.

I wish I would have kept my first car, 1973 torino, 351 windsor. I was stupid and young and drove it like I stoe it.

Mmmmmaybe a few of them were! You should have held on the the boss! I had the opportunity to buy one for $4500 back in '82 or '83 and I'm still kicking myself for not doing so.

Unfortunately I don't have pics of mine, and even more unfortunately, I don't have the car now either :(. It was a red '69 Mach I.

Not mine, but I had one identical to it except for the rims. (Had Cragar SSTs on it). Had a girl doing about 50 make a left turn right in front of me while I was doing 40 MPH and put me into a truck on my left side. Totalled. Only thing worth saving was the rims and the gas cap.

Mine was a 1966 Olds 442 - every once in awhile I go online looking for one to buy but I can't seem to locate one - and if I did, I probably couldn't afford to buy it! But I have other interests now anyway - been there and done that so it's time to go on to something new.

Same here, no pictures but i have had a -61 Pontiac 2door hardtopParisienne

My Brother in law recently purchased a red '69 Mach 1 w/ 428CJ, it needs some work to be road worthy, but still a cool car. I'm hoping that he will sell it to a friend of mine that would do it right.

I had '64 Chevy II, wish I could have afforded to keep it.

mach1- i should have, but then it was just an old used car that no one wanted. traded it for a corvette. lasti heard it was about 50 miles south of me in a barn with a blown engine. probably covered in pigeon droppings.

If there's one thing I enjoy more than guns, it's cars.

It's a '58 Chevy 1/2 ton I helped my kid brother build before he passed away. Our folks felt I should have it when his estate was settled. Chris and I spent a lot of quality time together during the build and hanging out at car shows and cruise nights after it was finished. I will always be thankful for the memories and every time I walk out to the garage it makes me think of my Bro...

It's powered by a mild 454 with a TH400 and has a Mopar 8.75 rear. We swapped in a Nova front subframe so it has independant front suspension, power steering and disc brakes.

1969 Plymouth GTX with the matching numbers 440, Torqueflite transmission and 4.10 sure grip differential. I restored it in my free time over a 12 year period and have had it on the road for 11 years now. It still goes pretty good, we dynoed it a few weeks ago and it's putting 368 horses to the rear wheels...
