Microsoft Office has a number of Bill of Sale templates. Most are for motor vehicles, but can be easily changed to a general bill of sale for any item.

You may want to add "sold as is - where is" and "I have read this contract and understand the conditions put forth" and "no warranties written or implied" to any contract you decide to use unless you want to offer a warranty or state that return of item for refund is OK. Those items above just seem to clarify things for some people.

I always get a firearms transfer, saves a lot of questions on your part. Hard to dispute ownership with a transfer.

Ya can buy multi-page carbonless universal receipt tablets at any office supply place or dept store. I simply made my own that I use on the reverse sides of my C&R copies that I use when i purchase from private individuals or other C&R/FFL holders. I keep them with my other gun stuff. Makes record keeping E-Z!.
