The long time magazine manufacturer Metalform has been purchased by a large manufacturing conglomerate.

The company plans on continuing Metalforms tradition of fine magazines and even plans on some improvements. The following pictures show a few 1911 magazines along with a 4506 magazine sporting followers that are now coated with titanium nitrite.

Thanks again for the update! I can see some practicality to the zombie grips in being able to find the gun at night. They would make you more visible to the zombies, though. I'm impressed with both the new Jframe grips, and will probably get some of the soft rubber ones for my 442.

The rubber j-frame grips look like someone is thinking out there. Great.

The "A-5" is NOT an A-5. It's ugly. My opinion. They did wrong here.

I wish. Just curious - I got the impression from this thread that it was open to the public given the number of people who seem to be attending; looks like most of you are connected to the trade in some way.

Quite a few of the variations are photo luminescent and glow in the dark. Well what would you expect from ZOMBIES

This is one of the glow in the dark versions. This might be a cool idea for the aspiring ZOMBIE Eradication Specialist. Sorry but I do not know how long they remain glowing after exposure to light.

While protecting my brain from being eaten, I was told that there will be more ZOMBIE-X products including the over molded rifle stocks.

I think the people at the hogue factory have been playing little bit too much Left 4 dead lately

just a touch......

although that would make a hell of an addition to a gun if you wanted to rig up a proper halloween gun of some sort.

what's the purpose of the coating for exactly? to make sure that oils and other things dont gum it up? I mean wouldnt that actually agitate the problem once the coating starts to wear down?

Default SHOT Show....

Hit the Show for 2 1/2 days...currently at the Riviera anxiously awaiting the Antique Arms Show tommorow.

A few other items of note (IMHO) from the Show...SIG is now producing a few of their 1911 models in both .40 S&W as well as.... .357 SIG! The 224 was impressive as well.

I was VERY surprised when I visited the S&W booth...Asked if they had any cool handouts...last year they had a S&W marked pen with sticky notes...nice little piece for the S&W "Faithful". They were giving out...NOTHING.

Attention S&W CEO...Loosen the pursestrings a bit!!

Titanium Nitride is a self lubricating finish. The follower will be much more slipery than a non coated follwer.

There would be no oiling of magazines.

The coating is also incredible hard. This is the stuff they coat drill bits with so they stay sharp longer at high speed/high heat.

Default 1877 Bulpup

Here are a few indoor shots of the Gatling gun that Colt brought to the show. I feel quite fortunate to have fired it at the range on Monday. One of the highlights of the trip for me

For those of us that like to play with suppressors, HK has released a Tactical variant of the HK45 compact.

The barrel is threaded 16x1L as you would expect from HK. No the illuminater is not included with the firearm.

This may have been the year of the ZOMBIE but it is also the year of the 7.62 . Most every manufacturer has one out. Perhaps it is because ZOMBIE are so hard to kill.

Here are a few of HKs offerings.

Hey colt (or anyone else), I'm new here, all I have is a 12 gauge Remington, and I am looking to get either the Sig 516 or the Sig 716 for my first AR. And since you have shot one, I was hoping to gather some advice if I could.

I don't go shooting much so the price of ammo doesn't really concern me. But I don't know if I should get the 516 and a hunting rifle for later on, or go with the 716 and cough up the extra $500 for the AR but in return not have to buy another rifle. From what I understand, it isn't illegal to hunt with an AR-10, its just a restriction on magazine capacity.

First.......Welcome to the Forum.

Hunting laws are a State issue. In your profile you did not list your location so there would be no way to answer your question.

As to which rifle to get first, I think that would strongly depend on what you were planning on hunting.

You might want to try and find a web forum that is dedicated to hunting in your State. You would find a large group that could answer questions about local laws as well as local shooting trends.

After typing my reply I see that you profile has been updated with Colorado as yoour state. Perhaps a fellow resident can help you out. You might want to start a new thread specific to your question

yea I tried updating it last night, I have tried finding the CDoW regulations via there own website. But the problem with that is it takes about 20 minutes to load 1 page so I gave up, I also sent them an email with the question regarding this exact issue but still no response, and its been about a month.

All of what I know about legal calibers for hunting is from word of mouth but I believe that the 5.56 is still good for hunting deer, but for elk it is illegal. I have only been out hunting twice, and both times were for elk, so I suppose that answers the question. And from what I can deduce, My dad's Ruger M177 7mm that I took last time was legal so I don't see why a .308/7.62 shouldn't be as well. If I do go with the Sig 716 I just need to find either short magazines, or magazine capacity restricters.

colt_saa did a great job cruising the show and posting cool stuff, and that include stopping by the Hogue Booth. He covered a lot of our New items but I want to add as time permits with a little more detail.

For starters this is an over-view of want we have been working on these past few months.

As you can see from this flier, we have grips for the 238, Ruger LCP both laser and no laser equipt models. We are adding 3 more models to our knife line, EX-02, EX -03, and EX-04 and later this year we hope to have at least 2 more folders and 1 fixed blade. You may also know we have grips for the X-5's. We have added some accessories to our AR line, more for the 3-gun shooters.

An "NEW" for 2012 are our PowerSpeed Conceal carry Holsters.

Available for;
Glocks, Sigs, Colts, Beretta's and more in both right and left handed. And can't forget the Zombie Grips.

As time permits, I will be posting more fliers as they become available and expanding upon the products contained within. But until then, If you have any questions, Please don't hesitate to ask!

Default S&W Bodyguard Grips

New for 2012, aftermarket grips for the Bodyguard/Jrd grips offered

And I will barrow Colt_saa picture to add.

On this image you see 3 other G10 colors that we are going to be offering Blue, Red and Pink

We have designed this Rubber Bodyguard grip to fit BOTH the alloy frame Centennial type Jrd's (shrouded hammers) as well as the Bodyguard.

Orders are now being taken with an expected ship date, late March-mid April for the rubber grips (P/N 60020 BLK P/N 60027 Pink). More work is being done on the G10 (P/N not yet available) with the same anticipated ship dates as the rubber

That's exciting to hear, there are far too few 1911's in 40 cal.
Any idea what the msrp would be on something like this?

From what I understand...they want to do a 9mm 5" 1911 as well as the .40 and .357 SIG. But they are having issues making the nine run reliably...so it will not be released until it's right.

The .357 SIG model above.

As far as MSRP it's probably on their site. I didn't note the price as I buy at Dealer anyway.
