scored a 70% here. 24/33....although I do have an issue where it stated that a government built levee is NOT being paid for by its citizens...I think that can be debated - I suppose the "trick" word is saying not directly paid for..... LOL

29/33 --- take a look at the table comparing the percentage of correct answers by "citizens" vs. politicians --- worrisome, at least.

30/33 I have a high school G.E.D. I got in the Army. The test confirms what I've always suspected about collage Pro-fessers.

Agree with you 100%-but it was the most logical one given the choices presented. There ain't no way that a balanced budget means that the government is spending on you an amount equal to your contribution. The answers to the question were stupid-and all wrong to some degree up to 100%. The answer I choose was correct to a greater degree than the others, that's all.

I think I had to "wing" a couple, but I came in at 32 for 33. Not bad for a 1965 HS graduate. Maybe some of the professors need a little remedial HS.

30 out of 33. Not too bad for a BSME from 1978. What's a bit sad is that the Shooting Public tends to be more informed and better educated that your average Left Wing College Professor. Perhaps we should make it a requirement that College Professors must be members of the NRA in good standing before they are granted Tenure.

I got all 33. Guess it is because I quit reading the newspaper years ago and spend quality time on the S&W forum.

27 out of 33.
If I was any good at economics I could have bought the Nic. Model 10-5 for $250 today.
If I took the test again, right now, I'd still get 27 of 33.

Don't it feel good to give! How did you like that definition of "public good" - benefiting from something you didn't pay for?

32 out of 33, and the only one I missed was the only one where I didn't go with my initial reaction and debated the choice.

30 out of 33. I'm used to taking tests with the answers written real small on a piece of paper hidden in my shirt pocket.

93.94. After I encountered my first sociology professor I knew I had the upper hand.
Fortunately the test had NO math questions or it would have been a whole different deal...

This from Europe. There is still room to educate myself some more.
I missed the one about Electoral College (my bad), about the source of the phrase: “Government of the people, by the people, for the people”?, about Socrates and Plato (the mention of PERMANENT moral and political truths sounded phishy, but that was a long time ago so they got that bit wrong), about debates between Lincoln and Douglas.

I got 31 of the 33 but in interest of "full disclosure" some involved a little guessing.

32 for 33, blew the last one since a balance of taxes & outgo DOES NOT mean you received benefits equal to your taxes.
That current college profs got 55% doesn't surprise me, would kinda like to know the most frequently missed questions by them. Ya know, when I went to college there were an impressive number of profs who were vets. Even the religion/philosophy profs had been chaplins-some in really interesting assignments. I kinda wonder what the percentage of factulty vets is now? Would bet in single digits.
Having had to explain our government system to our honor student daughter some years back, I really have to wonder how the current generation fairs on the test.

I misinterpreted the thread title. I currently work at a university and you can't swing a dead cat without hitting a professor. So my answer was yes. Do I win?

Well, I got 32/33 so I guess that ain't too bad for more of a scientist than a civics type. I did miss one about an earlier political figure. Should have known...I gave him the benefit of doubt to do the right thing rather than the political one!
