so the 4 year old took the loaded gun away from the 1 year old and it went off. I think I would have had to strike a woman.

If he could get the hammer back then it takes very little effort to pull the trigger.

Been a while since I was four so I'm not sure but even getting that hammer back would be a chore small hands.

I suspect that could only happen in Alaska!
When I was a kid in Anchorage all sorts of things used to happen that boggled the mind. I remember a news story back in the early 1970's where a guy driving an old style VW Bug found himself stuck behind a bull moose standing in the road. The driver honked his horn till it annoyed the moose... the moose then planted himself on the roof of the VW. Saw goodbye Volkswagon!

This is just my opinion, but i think some adults were playing with the gun and had a AD and out of fear of loosing the gun or having the right to have a gun taken away do to the carelessness, they said the kids did it...cant really see a 4 year old doing it....how did the kids even get the gun to start with? this story does not add up at all.

New ad campaign. "Even a 4 year old can handle the recoil of our .38 SPL." since he was still holding the gun after firing it.

Why did a 1 year old have a pistol in his hands to begin with?

This does not pass the smell test. It reminds me of when I was once in a home where dope was found in a plastic bag in the bottom of a trash can under another plastic bag full of trash. The mother and father said the 12 yr. old daughter bought the dope into the house and that they didn't know anything about it. Apparently they figured the daughter would not face serious consequences for having about 2 lb. of weed in the kitchen trash can. In spite of the smell of the trash, that story also didn't pass the smell test.

Per the mother of the 4 year old, " The 1 year old toddler had the gun for about 3 1/2 minutes, then ran around the counter and gave the gun to my child, the mother had been texting."
WOW!!!!!!!!!

My wife is a Wound Care Nurse at a pediatric hospital.
In the last week they've had 2 little kids shot in the head.
One of which was *shot by his 2 year old brother*.
Neither kid with a gunshot wound survived.
In related Memphis news - A 14 year old girl was shot by her 17 year old brother yesterday. So far she's still alive -- So far.....
The Commercial Appeal has these stories.

If the 4 year old really is the one who had the AD, then thank God himself for protecting both of those kids from harm.

When ever some one posts a link like that, I also read the comments. The father of the child says it didn't happen the way the paper reported it. Go figure.

Well, at least it's in her favor that the woman's been teaching her 1 year old to share his toys.

Maybe someone else called the police...lol kinda hard to hide the fact that a gun just went bang...and that a four year old got a hold of a mans personal weapon. They are lucky that they dint blow of their heads.... i think this is kinda how it went down...... man#1 HEY MAN LOOK AT WHAT I GOT. man#2 WOW DUDE THATS AWSOME!!! LET ME SEE IT! man#1 OK BUT BECAREFUL ITS LOADED. man#2 THIS IS NICE HOW DOES IT WORK!?!? BANG!!!!! OOPS

woman pawn shop owner to 4 year old, HERE LITTLE BOY LOOK AT THE PRETTY GUN,, 4 year old shoots hole in ceiling,, woman at pawn shop says the 1 year old handed the 4 year old the gun not her. father of 4 year old goes along with story to get better price on item he was looking at when gun went off. Then they called the police to get a report so she could get her insurance to cover the damage to the roof. lol.
News stories these days are usually so vague it's hard to tell what really happened.
|
LOL! another good possibility, gentleman the point is as simple as this adults were there but yet a 4 year old got a gun in his hands and shot it....really? no something else happned there, humm but what!? o yeah irresponsible adults.
