Post Electric Smokers - What is best?

I am in the market for an electric smoker! I want a good one that will do it all and be with me for years. I would like to hear from those of you that have one and have some experience with them.

Have a great Memorial Day holiday and never forget what it is all about!

I've been using the electric Brinkman for several years. What I love about electric smokers is that except for adding Chips/Chunks, you can set it and forget it. Once up to temp, it stays between 200 - 220 without monkeying with vents and such.

I use a mixture of chunks for the basic long lasting smoke, mixed with apple chips for a bit of flavor.

I have had a Little Chief front loading electric from Cabela's for many years all I have ever smoked in it is fish but lots of that. It works great.
A friend has a sophisticated model which drops a wood disc into the heater chamber automatically every so often so it can run on it's own.

If you want one that will do it all, you will probably need one of the
pellet units.

I have a Green Mountain Grill, and I like it a lot.
temps range from 150 to 500.
you can slow smoke meat or use it to grill.

not cheap, but very convenient to use.
It also has a shutdown cycle that cools it down and then
shuts it off, so your deck doesnt burn down.

another is the Traeger.
