Spent a couple of weeks tinkering with a couple of Pedersoli Tryon's. Swapped some parts around and finally came up with this...A .50 caliber percussion 1 in 45" twist Creedmore Match rifle with Deluxe parts. Lots of tinkering...:D

After load developement at 50 yards... It can keep all bullets in a five shot group in a ragged hole. It cut the bungy on a hundred yard gong after a single ranging shot. I was shooting for the top of the gong on shot two.

My first muzzle loader was a Thompson Hawken that I made from a kit. I later bought a Green Mountain .50 cal round ball barrel with a 1 in 70" twist. I glass bedded and free floated the barrel, and put a tang sight on it. It puts everything in a ragged hole at 50 yds.

Joe,

I'd love to have a slow twist barrel like that one... the Tryon has a 1in 45 inch twist. Good for roundball, just cannot drive it to hard.
