Time to fess up
My New Years Resolution this year was not to buy any guns. I must admit I failed in quite spectular fashion. I buckled first in May with a S&W pre model 15. Then came the SIG Scorpion and a 17-4 which was followed by a Ruger Carbine in 44mag. To make matters worse in July right as I was leaving the gun shop one of the guys asked me if I had seen the Smith's in the back case. I said no and went over to check them out. Guess its mo secret as to what happened. Yep 2 more for the safe. Another 29-3 8 3/8 barrel with box and tools plus another 17-4. Oh lets not forget my grail gun the model 610 that I bought in May.
I have a weakness for S&W revolvers. Please dont tell anyone.

Your secret is safe here.
BTW, try to set more reasonable resolutions, like giving up caviar, or driving Indy cars, or buying Glocks.

It seems to me you kept your resolution. You didn't buy just ANY guns, you were very discriminating in your choices!

I can do that. Consider caviar, roe and haggis off the menu.

Yes there are 4 within a mile of me but a gun a month is more than I can handle. All of my mad money will be gone when I pick my recent purchases. Got to reload for the upcoming holiday season. Got
bunch of grandchildren to take care of.

Those darn grandkids shoot .22's until their big enough to stand at the reloading bench. 5 or 6 at least.

Why would you make a resolution like that? Pressure from your better half? I made one to do the opposite, to buy more guns this year than last. And I am doing quite a good job of it.

My resolution was not to buy any more guns, nor buy any less guns.
This also applies to drinking wine.

It's very frustrating. I've already done the DPS fingerprinting and was told it would never have to happen again. That each new school or district would simply subscribe to my DL# to get them.
So $50 later and another week delay getting back to work...here I am.
Reading the S&W and getting jealous of everybody buying guns!

Not bad. If that's your idea of failure, your success should really be interesting.

I'm thinking we're all kindred spirit's when it comes to our S&W's.
Everyone's done the " No more this year" or "I've got to stop for awhile."
I know, I made a promise to myself no more S&W's this year.... going to save up some money and take a nice vacation this fall....
However.....
along came a .22 outdoorsman I had to have.
and there was a 629 no dash that needed a home.
a 629-1 that was too good of a deal to pass up.
a 29-2 nickel four inch that I needed.
a 696 that I just had to have.
that t-lock in .44 special that was just calling to me..
a Ruger ( sorry ) 77/44 that I might need if they change the hunting rules up here..
a 629-2 nickel six inch ( company for the four inch )
and a 629-4 four inch thats on it's way here...
I'm just glad I didn't make the same promise about Winchesters.. ;-)

I would never let 5yr or 6yr old kids do my reloading, their have too short of attention span. Twelve is the youngest I'll go.
