Default Wife taught me a lesson at the range

And she never shoots. She was struggling along with the LC9 today, and asked if she could shoot my 1911. Of course you can. She picked it up and shot a 1" group about four inches below bullseye. On her next mag, she shot two through the center and the other five within an inch.

All this time I've been trying to pick my shots up, as I thought it naturally shot low. I was dead wrong. After seeing what she did without thinking, I relaxed, put the sites dead on bull, and that's exactly where they went. Don't overthink, it can only make things worse.
I already knew this lesson, but I definitely needed the reminder. Thanks Hon.

So let me get this straight...

Your wife taught you how to shoot like a girl?

My wife is always asking questions...and since she is right handed and left eye dominant...I don't always have the answers. Then she occasionally outshoots me....so I tell her just shoot...don't ask. :-)

My wife has always outshot me. I believe that on average, women have better hand/eye coordination than men. She says women are just better.

No Hillbilly, I don't think shooting is like throwing a baseball. Anyways, I would like to think she handled the full size 1911 like a man. I was shooting like a first timer. Back on target now.

Good one Hillbilly77. You got my ire up for a second there.

Reminds me of my wife. I spent a lot of time practicing with my 442 until I was able to put nice little 5 shot groups on paper. As I was patting myself on the back, my wife loaded 1 .357 Magnum round in her 4" Model 66-3 and blasted a hole right down the middle of my best group. She can outshoot me with her gun but not with mine.
