How about some rare or unusual .22 rifles???

Kimber Of Oregon Model 82 S-Series Supergrade .22 Rimfire. These pre-dated the SuperAmerica and there were only 535 made. Serialized S-001-500 thru S500-500 with an extra 35 made with serials outside the range for customers with reserved S/N's Mine is one of the first 200 from early 1981.

I have an old Springfield single-shot bolt action rifle that was my Grandfathers that was my first gun. Not "Rare", but extremely valuable to me.:)
Probably the most interesting one is one that technically isn't mine, but probably will be someday. It was my late Fathers rifle. It's a Ballard that was barreled by the famous barrel-maker George Schoyen. The 32-40 barrel was used to make a world record 200 yard score on 1 January, 1912 by A.G Bitterly. It also has a .22 LR barrel that made a 2487 out of 2500 score about the same time. This was one of Dads most treasured rifles. It was later sold by an equally famous barrel-maker, Axel Peterson of Denver Colorado, in 1941.
I really wish that old Ballard could talk.

I have a weird one...

I was given a Mossberg 340KC by a friend for helping him move. Mossberg only made the rifle for 3 years back in the late 50s. I don't know how long the barrel is, but it's at least 22", maybe 24", and a lot longer than on most bolt-action .22s I've seen. The action is a bit clunky and the stock sights are cheap, but this rifle is very accurate! I have a cheap Redfield scope on it for now, but regular rings don't have a lot of space to grab the receiver, and I have to slide the scope as far back in the rings as I can to get proper eye relief. Due to the long barrel this rifle is pretty quiet, especially so with subsonic loads. Aguila's 60gr. SSS round isn't the most accurate round due to needing a tighter twist, but the rifle is air-rifle quiet when shooting them.

My friend who gave it to me found the rifle in a closet in a room he never went in, and couldn't remember where it had come from. From its appearance it had been there for quite a few years, and I was glad to have it. He also filled up my car with gas and bought me a case of Rolling Rock, so it was a great day all around!

Don't know if it qualifies as "rare" or "unusual", but the bottom one here - Baby Bear - is a #4 Remington Rolling Block.

Nice little bolt action Husqvarna single shot, from 1944.

Not rare but unusual, maybe even one of a kind. Tho kinda modern - this is my Custom 10/22.
Not a Ruger anymore, there are no Ruger parts left except the rotary magazines. A tack driving machine.

Another 77/22 RSP, this one in stainless. Most of these were produced without the iron sights....so when this one became available, I grabbed it.

The most unusual 22 I have is a Remington 121 in 22 Remington Special (WRF). My cousin had one of these when we were growing up and I greatly admired his. These are fairly difficult to find as I looked for one for more than 25 years. During that time I only saw 2 the one I purchased and one that appeared to be drilled for every scope mount available for the last 50 years.

Rare... maybe. First year takedown 03 Winchester in .22 Winchester Automatic, in 1905 they added a safety to the trigger guard. The design was later modified for the .22lr cartridge and become the Model 63.

Unusual... definitely. I also have this little thing in my safe, a Garcia Bronco.

Not really rare, but here is a Remington Nylon 66 that was made in February of 1960...the second year of production. Spent it's life in a safe until I got it...hell of a shooter.
