Default Any Experience With JRH Advanced Gunsmithing (Jack Huntington)?

They are in Grass Valley, Ca., about 45 mins. from me. I had them rebarrel and rechamber a Colt SAA for me. They did a great job. They make five shot conversions on Rugers and other guns and just about everything else. He showed me a new Ruger .44 Spl. frame where he opened the frame window for a five shot cylinder he was making from scratch. They are a great outfit working out of an old building out on this ranch.
Anyone familiar with them?

BEFORE. Blue worn '58 Colt .38 Spl. with cut down .357 barrel...

AFTER. Now a .44 Spl. with nice tight chambers and a rough looking Colt barrel I found o GunBroker that matches the gun perfectly with a great bore.

Jack is as good as the best gunsmiths out there. His prices are far less than most of the other "top" smiths also.

He was the developer of the 500JRH, which is one great round for those aspiring to own a 50 caliber.

He will reconfigure a BFR grip to include custom grips that will make a heavy recoiling BFR more manageable at a cost of $300.00 - there are some custom grips out there that cost more than $300.00.

His turn around times are a lot quicker as well.

When I dropped off my gun there were a bunch of beautiful wood grips on the counter, mostly for Ruger bisley's it looked like. I was stunned and asked if he made them and he said he did. They were gorgeous. I paid $245 to have the barrels swapped and the cylinder rebored. I was really pleased with that. I can't wait to shoot this one but have another .44 special being worked on by fast draw legend Jim Martin. So I'll wait for that one in a couple days. I'm sure glad someone turned me on to JRH. My gun took 13 days to get done. A day short of what he told me.

His work is very good if you can get your gun returned! He has had a rifle of mine for over 4 years and will not return it fixed or broken. I get a lot of promises but not the gun back!
