What would you use as a self defense gun?
Think of
Weight
Length
Accuracy
Caliber
And overall quality of arm.
Semi-auto pistol and revolvers only.
*POST PICTURE OF GUN (if possible)
And also total off topic add-on:
WHAT GUN WOULD YOU USE TO FIGHT A ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE
think of:
quality
Ammo availability
Weight
Size
ANY GUN

The first part is only semi-auto pistols and revolvers for self defense
The second part is what gun would you use to fight a ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE
Any gun you want
Semi auto pistols
Auto pistols
Revolvers
Bolt action rifle
Lever rifle
Semi auto rifle
Auto rifle
Think of ammo availability, spare parts availability, quality , size, weight

An airsoft rifle with a "pistol grip" ...that works for me. I would post photos myself, but like A10 I don't own any guns.

Zombies?!
ImageUploadedByTapatalk1358372198.788841.jpg
My 4" 681 (no dash) with..... 110 gr JHP. They're accurate, light on recoil, and since head shots are key, I'm not too worried about them being pretty tame for a .357.
Along with my Winchester 94 30-30 loaded with my uncles secret 150 gr loads.
Maybe my M&P 9mm as a back up.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk... So please forgive any ridiculous typing errors.

If your real concerned with Zombies,

A few years back I wrote about an L frame customised to accept a five shot cylinder chambered for 41 Special with a 3 1/2 inch barrel.
No sooner was it posted when Smithnut posted a picture of the near identical gun. His had a four inch barrel.

Since, like others, I no longer own any guns, I would have to use my imagination and use my imaginary Combat Commander. Of course for zombies, I could just grab my wife's vampire kit (wooden knitting needles) and drive a stake through their non-functioning brain. For large groups of zombies, I would just have to show how fast an old fat man can di-di on out of there.

40 caliber Sig Sauer P239 for Defense.
Since I don't believe in a Zombie Apocalypse I would use my imaginary staged banks of Claymore Mines to take care of any Zombies approaching the house. Once the Claymores finally ran out I would then change to my imaginary 40 megawatt plasma rifle. BTW. the plasma rifle is equipped with the optional Mr. Fusion generator so with a 2 gallon backpack of common water I have enough fusion fuel to vaporize every zombie east of the Mississippi.

What gun would I use for self defense? The gun I have with me every day; my much beloved 696. For anything else I would prefer an M79 grenade launcher.

My 7 fingers -- they move at light speed thanks to my Bob Gracie close combat training classes -- yes, indeed, 7 fingers moving at 4800 ft per second, rip-your-heart out speed -- be warned.
7 fingers, mind you.
I did use to have 10 fingers -- but had to cut 3 of them off and send in to the authorities or sell them out of state (had some zombies who wanted to buy them). Those pesky new laws, you know.

If I was back in a free open carry State, it'd be maybe a nickel 4" model 27. As it is, it has to be no more than a Chief's Special.
And I have a chronic case of EZF. Extreme Zombie Fatigue. I don't do zombies.

Not sure if I stepped out to defend.....probably my 4 inch 586.
I'm pretty accurate with it as opposed to my 5 inch .45s-offhand not so good.
.44PSLs/MAGS would make me even more deaf

I have plenty of carry guns. Some are exspendsive BBQ guns, several colt pythons etc. Models 27, 66-3, 24-3, 25-5 etc. 45 colt, 44 mag and specials, you name it. What I have carried the most is my old M&P. It didnt cost me much, fairly light and .38 special is okay. I dont care if the blue gets scratched, gets dusty rideing the trails etc. My glamor guns seldom see the light of day. If I want a little more soup I sometimes carry a old HD I had converted to .44 special about 35 years ago. Same reason, I have another 6 .44 specials that I dont like to scratch up. Guess my taste runs to blue and stag.

I have just suffered the most tragic events of my life. Out of no where a volcano developed in the corner of my basement under my gun safe. It erupted and melted the safe and all it's contents. I am now with out any firearms and the house insurance will not pay as I did not have a volcano rider. So for self defense I much resort to a pointed stick and an Ax handle. As for the zombies, sorry I gave my brain at the office.

I would use the performance model Model 460XVR™ - 14" Barrel with Bi-Pod as my primary and a 627 eight shot as my backup.... I guess that I would have two or three of each.
Understand, please, I don't have either one, but I do think that my 617 could take out the zombie squirrels....
