Where Are The Car Guys?

It ain't much, but it's PAID FOR! It's also back to daily driver status, at least for now, but I enjoy it. 2005 Mustang GT with Hurst shifter and Pypes exhaust with no mufflers, just resonators. I've posted it a few times before. It's been a really good car, but I'd trade it in a heartbeat for a 1965 Buick Riviera, if I could find someone wanting to do such a deal. I'll probably keep it awhile, until something of interest comes along that I might trade it for.

Here are a couple of pics of my 1965 Acadian Beaumont Sport Deluxe Convertible. She is a good 10 footer, you get too close and you can see how bad somebody did on the paint job.

I remember how special that truck is. :)

Priceless, for those that missed the story behind the truck when I previously posted it I will give the condensed version. It belonged to my younger brother Chris who passed away due to Cystic Fibrosis almost 3 years ago. He and I built it along with a lot of help from mutual friends. We had tons of fun during the build phase and even more fun attending car shows and cruise nights once it was roadworthy. Here's my bro Chris...

I think I have posted on this forum before, but it never hurts to repeat yourself.

1970 Mustang Mach 1, originally an R-code 428CJ, AT, AC, PS, PB. I bought it with a 390 and promptly installed a bored and stroked 427 sideoiler (454 cid). It has a solid lifter Crower cam (.609/.626 lift, 284/290 advertised duration, 246/250 at .050 lift), Offenhauser port-o-sonic, 850 Barry Grant, LeMans rods, 12.5:1 TRW stroker pistons, C-6 with full-manual reverse pattern valve body, 10-inch converter, and a nodular iron 4.11 9-inch rear end. 45,000 original miles.

Man! Some very cool rides there folks. Car guy here from IL. This is the project my daughters (11 yo twins and already little gear heads :D ) and I are currently working on. It's a 72 Duster 340 that was an old drag car. It was pretty much gutted for the strip...slow but sure, we got her wired, back together and running. Just a little ole 340 10.5:1 KB pistons, Forged Crank & Rods, 727 w Reverse Manual Valvebody, 3200 stall and 8 3/4 rear etc...nothing fancy but it gets down the road pretty good. Like most projects, we still have a lot we want/need to do....

Looks better with the American Racing Torque Thrust II's & 17's than the 15" Rallys.

1969 Camaro 350SS/RS, Hurst 4-spd, built 406, 450HP
