Used Guns Online

Howdy

Hi Chiltech,
I'm in an area where everything I like is hard to find in local shops.
I have found, and had good luck locating the hard to come by. Most the time at reasonable prices on Gunbroker and the likes.
Once I received a gun that I thought didn't quite live up to the description but I kept it and could have returned it. All others of many have been well worth owning.
There are several shops that list used inventory on line if you are more comfortable dealing with a store.
Check a persons feedback and return policy before buying.
Good luck
Mike

Armslist is a good one.
It searches for you in your local area, so shipping is not always necessary, and you might be able to view/inspect the firearm.

Gun Broker is not a rip off, if you are diligent, patient, and know what you want and how much you will pay.
I got a NIB Sig SAS P220 Compact for $605. !!!! (retail for 900+)
I've also done fair for some hard to find (distributor exclusives) firearms that my local dealer did not have access to.....

Good luck.

Any place other than forums a good place to look for used guns online?

Gunbroker and Guns America seem like ripoffs to me.

Curious, what specifically makes you feel they're rip offs? If it's pricing that's under your control, don't bid higher than you feel is fair or reasonable.

I don't mean to be confrontational, just curious why you made that statement.

A number of the brand-specific forums have a classified section where firearms are sold. The 1911 forum is one that doesn't, but others do (like the SIG forums, Beretta, Glock, Ruger, and others.) I'd rather buy a used gun online from a long-term brand-specific forum member if possible, than a general site like Gun Broker.

Another retail site is Gun Genie...they are new guns, though. I've bought several guns from them (and they are almost completely sold out right now...I've never seen them that low on stock.)

Everything I've gotten from GunBroker and retting.com,
has been as described. Just do some homework for what
you want. 'Course, none of them give me the sense of security
as I get dealing with Forum members, both new and established.

I have never bought from someone where I could not view/hold before hand. I lived in Saint Louis for several years and bought multiple firearms form people on Armslist. If your willing to drive a little and they are willing you can check all of Missouri on Armslist. I just find it difficult to "hope" that what I bought online is what who ever is saling it said it was. Unless it was just a have to have piece, I would try and stay local.
