Prozac for Dogs?
My Giant Schnauzer has a prescription for this stuff. I haven't given him any yet and was wondering if anyone else had a dog that needs it?
He is OCD about chewing and will chew himself raw in no time.
I've tried every thing for it so I don't need advice on fleas detergents allergies and such.

My dog won't take that stuff, for religeous reasons, so she has to see a therapist twice a week at $150.00 an hour!

I know that it is prescribed by Vets along with other "people" meds such as anti anxiety drugs.
Even the Vet in the newspaper (Dr Fox)who is usually Holistic about treatment recommends it sometimes. If the Vet recommended it try it. It takes several weeks to work.
If you live in CA you could get him a medical marijuana card.

My 12 year old, blind, yellow lab was put on it recently and it has really helped him relax.

You might be on to something, If you knew him you'd suggest a family plan.
