New to the forum and attempting to narrow down site of manufacture and date of manufacture of this Random VIS 35 that has been in my family since as far back as the 1950's. Not really interested in value as the firearm will be passed on to my son with instructions that it be passed on to my grand-son.
My father never discussed WWII and I first saw this unit in the late 1950's/early 1960's. He did not serve in the European theater but did have brothers that did.............so that may be where this firearm came from. Or, it could possibly have originated at a Pawn Shop or poker game.
Any help and discussion will be much appreciated. Here are some markings on the gun: F.B. Radom VIS Mod. 35, Pat. Nr. 15567. 77 w/German Eagle appears to left of model no. and also just below German Eagle after Pat. Nr. The following markings also appear on the gun: WIA 823, XVOZ 0293, H7651. These may be a digit or two off as they are very light. A "K" appears just under the Hook on handle and a "sun burst" with the number 3 also appears.
Any help on the history is much appreciated and hopefully the photographs will upload.
