Driveing on I-5 in Washinton.

If they were heeding the speed limit, it musta been rush hour. NOBODY follows the speed limit over there!

ps: They are terrible drivers. The ones up from Oregon are worse!

Mighta been a WaSP around.

I hated coming into Seattle from the south then where I-90 comes in getting off on James St. to go to Swedish & SU. Other than that, it's a heart attack a minute!

Just made the trip to see my daughter & her family. Make sure I have a full tank of gas before getting to Tacoma because if there's a wreck or something I-5 turns into a giant parking lot. My daughter lives above Seattle so I leave very early in the AM to get back to Oregon.By the way I see as many lousey drivers in Washington as Oregon.

Only good thing I can say about I-5 in Seattle is that it's better than I-405 on the east side (but not by much:eek:) I grew up here and usually take alternate routes (or stay home which is happening more frequently as my tolerance diminishes)

I travel to Seattle a couple times a month for work; I can't seem to manage the 90 min trip without seeing a minimum of 3-4 speed traps! It is insane the amount of "peace officers" they have generating revenue. Mostly they get Canadians who are not familiar with their hideouts.

Did you ever see a Canadian drive slow? Or for that matter, the speed limit? When I see two cars speeding on I90 one will be a Canadian and the other a girl late for class at EWU. :-) Of course they are probably the only two cars for two miles....this ain't I5 in Seattle.

I've never seen a Canadian drive the speed limit or in the right lane. Their idea of camping is the fast lane at 10 miles less than speed limit.

"Transplanted Californians I do believe"

One of my Lodge Brothers is a retired WaSP. Said he thought that until he spent 2 weeks in SoCal. Then he realized that they were real jerks but did know how to drive. The difference is that Westsiders ("coasties" or "206ers") THINK they know how to drive.

Somebody 'splain to me why traffic comes to a standstill from Ft Lewis through the Tacoma Dome? If you are getting off, move to the right BEFORE you get to your exit!

That's the key, everyone waits 'till the last minute to change lanes then wonder why people are honking and single finger saluting!

I dread going there in two weeks, the traffic is horrible, and I5 is the only option for north South travel. Our plan is to not drive between 6-9 AM and between 3-6 PM. Any gun shows in the area the 17-18 weekend?
