Default R.I.P.D. Revolvers

These have got to be some of the most interesting revolvers I've seen in a long time. Yes, they're fictional. From the movie, R.I.P.D. (which I heard was not all that great.) Anyone else sort of wish these double-barreled were real? Man I'd really like one for my collection.

Yeah, that's right up there with double barreled 1911's and double triggered ar15's. I think I'll pass on this one too.

It would be fun if I could afford the ammo to shoot.

IWB carry might not be much fun. And when you drew the weapon your pants would fall down.

They're not double-barrels, that second "barrel" you see is actually the axle the cylinder rotates on. It's easy to tell if you watch the movie (but don't bother, those guns are pretty much the best part of the movie). I don't think they're based off Judges, the cylinder is way longer, which made me think that they were based off of Magnum Research BFR's (which would be crazy to put snubby barrels on because I've seen a picture of someone with a broken wrist from a long-barrel version.) But the only thing is that they are break-action, which neither the Judge nor BFR come in as far as I know. A funny side note is that in the movie they show their speed loaders and the bullets in them are about 1/3 the length of the cylinders and there were at least 8 of them(gotta love that capacity right.) They may be custom, non-functioning props built from the ground up for the movie. Not practical at all obviously, but there's just something about them that makes me want one. They're just so mean-looking, :'D

Also I think the "axle" I'm referring to is just cosmetic, it's off center from the center of the cylinder, but in the movie they show a close up of the gun pointed right at you as he pulls the trigger and the cylinder comes around lining up a glowing bullet with the actual barrel, so there's definitely just one barrel.

Yeah, now that I've looked at some other images, I think that second "barrel" is a piece of what used to be the shell extractor from the BFR which loads cowboy-style. Weird that they converted it to break-open, but left that piece on there.

Good luck concealing that beast. With a belt holster you'd need suspenders for sure or it would pull your pants down.

I didn't get why they had such crazy long cylinders. The look just threw me being so ill designed. The Hellboy revolver is just as fake but at least looks neat.

That's what they make suspenders for
