I mean just a plain old knock down, drag out slug-fest. I'm not counting karate or kung fu or any of that stuff. I wasn't really counting Boxing movies either but if you want to throw in one or two of your favorites feel free.
I thought about making this a poll but there are just too many and we only have 10 spaces on the list so just toss em out.
As far as boxing goes all the Rocky movies were good with lots of slow mo shots of blood and mouth pieces flying but the one that really stands out for me was The Raging Bull with Robert De Nero. That was a brutal film.
But as for just plain old unskilled hand to hand brawls one of the first that really stood out for me was the fight in Giant between Rock Hudson and the cafe owner that didn't want to serve his Mexican daughter in law.
The there was the fight in Columbiana between the lead female and her nemisis. Lawdy Miss Clawdy! that was horrific.
The fights in Clint Eastwoods Any Which Way You Can movies were a lot of fun and Charles Bronsons Hard Times had a lot of tough stuff in it too.
And one of the best of all times was John Wayne fighting the big irishman in The Quiet Man
I would list the scene in Lonesome Dove where Woodrow wore out that Army drover for quirting Newt but that wan't a fight. I think the current vernacular for a thing like that would be a "beat down" Still it was fun to watch.
