6 Is Hell Is for Heros
13 sounds like A Walk In The Sun - 1945 Plot Summary - In the 1943 invasion of Italy, one American platoon lands, digs in, then makes its way inland to attempt to take a fortified farmhouse, as tension and casualties mount. They cross a grassey field. with Dana Andrews - a medic is killed by the beach by a German plane?

Well it's about time "He'll is for heroes" makes a list. I might suggest "King Rat" as well.

Let's not forget "To He'll and Back" staring the most decorated soldier on WWII, Audie Murphy.

Thanks to those who agree that Sargent York has earned a slot!

I've seen all the ones mentioned, but also have to add, even tho it's a mini series "The Pacific." The Peleilu stuff is pretty close to what Sledge describes in his book "With the Old Breed."

I agree that Zulu is great; also the prequel to Zulu is Zulu Dawn with Burt Lancaster among others, all of whom get dead!

Most of mine are covered. But will add The Odd Angry Shot, Aussies in Vietnam. Worth looking up. There was one about Christmas in the Battle of the Bulge can't remember the name but good stuff.

Pretty much covered all of them.
BUT.....how can y'all forget U-571? That was a great movie.
Also, a sentimental favorite....Father Goose :).
