Quint's Harpoon Gun

A few years ago, I did some research on Quint's harpoon gun. At that time, a pleasant lady at the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry told me Quint's gun was in one of the storerooms. A Greener with a Martini action? Ok I'll buy it.

But what I really wanted to say is that at one time Navy Arms was selling a similar Harpoon gun.

I had an uncle who owned a Greener harpoon gun back in the mid-1960's, he used it for shooting at big sharks and then would chase the buoy that was attached to the line. When the shark finally tired, he would pull up along side of it with his boat and finish it off with a .303 Enfield.
Not saying it was right but that was the mindset back in those days.
