How times have changed
Can anyone imagine Colt or any other firearms manufacture running this add today, no matter what state was revolver was named after?
It’s a little hard to see, but note the legend on the barrel, beneath the normal Python .357 markings.

Only 200 made? Were any actually available for the public at large, or did they all get "sold" before they hit the shelves?

I believe 3" Pythons command quite a price these days. (And watch out for fakes.)

And unless it's already in the state and is transfer eligible, you can't buy one if you live in California. Not on the approved list.

Can't help but wonder why that happened. Did Pacific International want to try a test run, with a limited number of guns? Now I wounder who ran the add, Colt or Pacific International? Thanks for the information.
