Gilbert Gottfried.
Pee Wee Herman.
Jim Carrey.
Ernest-from the Ernest movies.

For me--its a tie between Gottfried, Carrey and Pee Wee Herman. Ernest had funny moments.

For sure. But "Pee Wee" is a close second.

Actually, although I like him for say 15-20 minutes. "Larry the cable guy" is on my (sort of) annoying list. I mean you can only handle so many pooping & fart jokes at a time.

The original PeeWees Playhouse was very funny and very adult humor. After it got commercialized it went WAY down hill. Jim Varney was actually a classically trained actor who landed the second most stupid character in history, Ernest. Gilbert Gottfried is pretty funny in interviews but irritating as all get out in his comedy act (he does pretty good imitations though).

Jim Carey for the win....Dumb and Dumber, Ace Ventura, the list goes on and on. He was great in Once Bitten, a fairly lousy '80s movie where he played opposite Lauren Hutton. He found success, and his head swelled.....

Paul Reubens is actually quite talented beyond his Pee Wee persona. Jim Varney was a regular guy who capitalized on marketable image, and has since passed away. Gilbert Gotfried can be grating, but he is also rather talented. Carrey, while talented as a comedic actor, is different than the others in that he is a self important lout. He should stick to silly movies and refrain from spouting his leftward profundities.
