Shame that your not open to watching John Wayne, because your missing out on so many of the best Westerns ever made.

Your probably right but I can't get past his acting. It seems all the same, same monotone

I dont know? thats why I posted all these examples which shows him with a wide range in his acting. I skipped War movies and such since they werent mentioned.

Arik, if you think john Wayne can't act, watch "The Shootist", about a dying gunfighter. It was his last movie, and Wayne was pretty much dying himself when he made it.

It's a terrific, nuanced performance. And having Lauren Bacall, Jimmy Stewart, Richard Boone, Hugh O'Brian, Scatman Crothers, Ron Howard and John Carradine in the cast makes for a terrific flick.

As far as annoying actors, for me it's John Leguizamo. I'd rather be stuck all day in a roomful of crying babies and screeching cats, surrounded by chalkboards being scraped constantly by a bunch of old women with inch long nails than to have to watch John Leguizamo. Don't know anything about him, he just gets on my nerves.

The Ernst dude is Jim Varney who is deceased.

All original nominations are bad actors but don't forget

Tom Cruse / Tom Snooze
and
Leonardo Decaprio
Those two are so boring!!!!!!!

Ringo,
Ya missed a couple......what about the fight with Lee Marvin AND what about the fight in THE QUIET MAN!!
Jim

Heh heh, there were a bunch I had to skip--finding many of those images above was time consuming. Originally I had planned posting a few images from each title I listed but---I stopped with the animated gif from: The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance. I wish I knew how to make these gifs--id pick many a good one. :-))

I'd like to take a run at Julia Louise Dreyfus myself, but nothing to do with her voice or money...of the originally mentioned, I guess Gottfried's is the hardest on the ears. I base none of this on their political beliefs, because that list might be endless...

(Pronounced Wah keen) Hes a good actor whom should pick one career-either acting or singing-not both. Bruce Willis seems to have at least chosen acting-I dunno how he was as a singer?

Wah Keen was pretty good as John Cash. He's plenty weird a lot of the rest of the time.
The Duke- I like a lot of his movies, I love all the rest.
As a Southerner, the ex-CSA trooper dying scene in Yellow Ribbon gets me every time! My GGrandpa rode with Nathan Bedford Forrest. But that's another thread!

Id love to hear about that. NBF has been historically wronged--made to look like a racist when he clearly was not. Also, all but one of those im related to--were Confederates. The highest ranking was a Cavalry Colonel who lost an arm at Shiloh.

That scene gets me too--as well as any showing Rebs dying-let alone--Americans. Though I love these mini-series, I find it difficult as an American--Southerner at that, to see the excellent: The Blue and the Gray, and North and South books 1 and 2. I hate seeing our guys fighting--even though I have a fascination with the Civil War/War of Northern Aggression (as we say here).
