Looking for a holster for my 627 Performance Center

Got an 8shot '97 Lew Horton 627 PC with 5" barrel. Trying to find recommendations for a good leather holster. Love Milt Sparks, but not planning on waiting 40+ weeks for my rig.

That's a pretty broad question, even with specific details. I'm assuming something along the waist/belt method? Mind sharing what you have in mind for use, ie; hunting, range, concealment, etc?

You do know we like pics, especially of new shootin irons.
I will say that for all around revolver carry, I'm a fan of Simply Rugged Sourdough pancake and have them for M500, K, L, N, Z frames.

I usually go with Angry Dick Leather, but was informed that he can't do a 5"

I use Simply Rugged for field carry, also have a Kydex holster for revolver competition by Comp Tac that I bought from SpeedBeez

Another vote for Rob Leahy at Simply Rugged. I use various OWB leather holsters from them for an N and an L Frame plus a couple of Ruger Vaqueros. I also like their belts.

I just have the one holster for an N Frame. I believe it's called a "Cattleman". It's a nice, but simple, loop-on-the-back design which clearly isn't meant for concealment. Of course, a 6.5" N-Frame isn't the epitome of concealment anyway. I feel like it carries in a nice position for a reasonable draw, but also keeps out of the way.

For the most common carry, and if you want to chest carry, the sourdough pancake is a nice option. You can get a chest carry rig to go with it.

The cattleman, as mentioned, is another nice option. Mine is a crossdraw variant that I have for my 3" L frame sized revolvers. It's not a CC holster, but for use at home or in the woods.

Pictured below is my Sundle's Ready Rig for my TRR8/M&P R8 and sourdough pancake holster for the same guns. The shoulder holster is an interesting option as well. It makes carrying a larger handgun easier for me.



I've tried various holsters from different companies. For leather ones I prefer Simply Rugged ones. They make holsters for my larger than typical sized sidearms. It's a niche market in the handgun world to say the least.
