Another sad report-another great gone. Efrem Zimbalist Jr passed away.
I always liked him in anything I saw him in. Sad to say-he is now taken from us but in a much much better place.
Rest in Peace Sir:

In this image--he greatly looks like Douglas Fairbanks Jr:

DF Jr.

I know he was in The FBI. You are thinking of 77 Sunset Strip, I believe.

What a talented family! A father, who was a violin virtuoso, an opera star of a mother (Alma Gluck), and talented children.
He will be missed. RIP.

Saw that today. Sad to hear. Two shows I remember from when young was the FBI with him and David Janssen in O'hara U. S. Treasury from the early 70s.

Ringo Kid-you're thinking of "Surf side Six" which was set in Miami I think. Same kind of smooth detective genre. They drove some beautiful Thunderbird's I remember.

"Surfside Six... in Miami Beach!!" That was Troy Donahue and Diane McBain, a classic beauty if there ever was one. 1961
Never forgot when Zimbalist appeared on The Merv Griffin Show with Bette Davis in the early 70s. "Men age better than women," said Davis. "Look at him, he's not far from my age and he's so much better looking than I am. And I was good-looking."
There was a raft of those detective/adventure shows back then, all essentially alike except for location.

Speaking of Troy Donahue, I have a complete and original set of Lobby cards for him in: Bugles in the Afternoon. I wonder whatever became of him?

They are courtesy or Ritter Laundry. Actually-having to use CC Public Library Computers until I can get a new one--hopefully by August. They have image and word filters on most or all computers so im having trouble trying to relist my WWII German uniform items I had sold-but buyer never paid.
