Default Spurs & Thunder

Last night The Oklahoma Thunder clinched a spot in the Western Conference Finals, defeating the LA Clippers in a hard fought contest. There were strange & controversial calls made by the refs on both sides of the ball. The San Antonio Spurs had already moved on to the WC Finals after defeating The Portland Blazers, much to "Sir Charles Barclay's" chagrin, as he pretty much wrote the Spurs off as being old & predicted the Blazers in four straight games. WRONG! So much for the "experts"!

I'm severely conflicted, as I root for both teams. Oklahoma, because its been my adopted home for the past twenty or so years, & San Antonio, home of my youth & soon to be home again. Whoever wins I'll be happy, whoever loses I'll be sad. I guess its a win win, lose lose situation. It'll be interesting, to say the least!

The Okies gave us kinda a hard time when the Phoenix Suns played in OKC and we both walked in wearing our Suns jerseys. I guess we were the only ones with such jerseys, at least from what I could tell. This was in 2012 IIRC. Therefore I don't mind OK losing. Go Texas, yay

I'm sorry they gave you a hard time, but really, that could & would happen anywhere. I'm kind of leaning towards San Antonio because this is most likely Tim Duncan's last year, & I think he deserves to go out with a championship ring on his finger!

The NBA finals are obe of my favorite sporting events of the year-primarily becuse they mark the end of the season but also because that means that football is only two months away

I noticed the first post mentioning "Sir Chuck", who can be humorous at times. I heard him ask in a kinda off screen question,to (?) Ernie I believe; if Ernie was aware "Godzilla", and "King Kong" were NOT THE SAME ?
I hope, but truly doubt, he was joking. Seems like if there was anything this present culture concentrates on, it would be something of that nature. He does seem to "take it" as well as "dish it out".

I hope S A can get to the final, (with the Heat I expect), but in spite of the fact S A is about the only NBA group that plays like a true team, I expect Lebron will rule again.

Barclay has made some pretty rude comments about the people of San Antonio, in particular the women. He has lost any credibility he ever had as far as I'm concerned.

AS far as the finals, who knows, anything can happen. Maybe Lebron will stub his toe, & as one dimensional as Miami is, they would fold. I guess we'll know here pretty soon.

well, guess since I'm a Texan, from south of San Antonio, I gotta cheer for the Spurs.

Over the years, I have learned how to spell Spurs. Gasp, Pant choke, choke, choke

Last year about this time in the playoffs OKC lost their starting point guard Westbrook for the season. Now, they loose Ibaka their starting forward and best shot blocker for the season.

I guess we'll try again next year

I just heard that today. I wonder whats up with the Spurs Tony Parker. He left their last game early & never returned. I haven't heard anything about what his injury might be. Anyone know?
