Gunsamerica, Gunbroker, Gunauction? In Your opinion , what are the best (and most popular) auction sites.?

I believe someone posted a few months back that GunBroker was the largest, and based on my observations that appears to be the case.

I've purchased several items using GunBroker. I had no problems and was satisfied with the process and my purchases. In fact, when I finish reading the threads in the S&W Forum Lounge, I plan to use GunBroker to look at available lightweight J-frames, Sig P227s, and other interests of the moment.

Gunbroker is probably the biggest. Auction Arms is my favorite. They are both good. I've never bought anything from Gunsamerica but have heard a lot of people say they don't like the site.

GunsAmerica is a fine enough site, but be forewarned (as I learned the hard way just this week):

Since it's not an auction site, sometimes the items on there are already sold by the time you click on the "buy it" button. If the seller hasn't updated the listing, you can think you've placed a successful offer. Only later, when the seller sends you a regretful, "sorry, this sold this afternoon in our shop" email do you find out the sad news.

Yes, it's part of the terms and conditions that buyers cannot consider themselves successful until they receive a confirmation email from the seller. But dang it, if you click "buy it" and there is no message at that time that you are not the successful buyer, you naturally think you've bought it.

It's not the same as the "buy it now" button on Gunbroker!

Forewarned is forearmed. No pun intended. :D
