Ingenious Brits work around a stupid gun law!
I filed this one under "Why didn't I think of that?"
It seems that in Britain, the government doesn't want their subjects to have semiautomatic rifles. Where there's a will, there's a way.
This system allows firing repeatedly without manually working the action. That's right. No trombone or bolt manipulation.
Here's the way it works. An AR-15 lookalike has been marketed there. When the first round is fired, the bolt locks to the rear. Then it's released with a lever where the safety is on a normal AR-15. The next shot is ready to fire. It's VERY quick, and aimed shots can go downrange almost as fast as semi-automatically. Pull the trigger, thumb the lever, fire again. Repeat. Slick. Fast. Legal, at least for now.
Gotta give it to 'em. Bravo. Might work great in the oppressed-citizen states of California, New York, New Jersey, etc!
Here's the video:

I have confidence that the British Government will soon eliminate that "loophole".
(Probably something like "It looks too much like a EBR.")

I'm sure they wouldn't remain legal for very long.
