I really like old Buicks.
Yours look great!
Is Kenny Bell Buick still in business?
I've had:
67 Electra 225 - 430 cu in Wildcat
70 Skylark - 350 cu in
71 Skylark - 350 cu in (my first car)
78 Century - 350 cu in
The Electra was 4 door, the rest 2 door hardtops.
My uncle has kind of a rare one: 71 Centurion - 455 cu in
Another fellow I know has a 55 Buick Special and he drives it all over God's Green Pea Patch (tm).

Not much out there sexier than the 68-72 mid-sized GMs (IMHO anyway). Gorgeous Skylarks. Very nice pictures.

That's a great group of Buicks you've had. My Dad had a 68 Wildcat that I learned how to drive with. That thing was a boat!
I'm not sure if Kenny Bell is still involved with Buicks like he was back in the 80's.

I like the old Buick's. There is a guy in our small town that drives an unrestored 65 Electra. He uses it as a daily driver because I see it on the road just about every day. Looks pretty straight and original too. Never paid much attention to them when they were new but they look pretty classy now.

Mother had a 1972 Electra 225 fordor hardtop. It had 455 regular fuel engine. It would run a hole in the wind. Took mom to Odessa one June. We blew a right front tire at 80 mph. Car was no problem to bring to a safe stop. Mom got it in the garage crooked one day. I had to use a floor jack to get it out. She didn't put a scratch on however. Car was driven by the plant manager of local GM plant for his company car. 80 mph and 18 mpg. What a ride.

What lotsa folks don't know is that during the original muscle car years the Buick 455 GSX was one of the top two or three stock off the showroom cars in the quarter mile. Can you spell TORQUE? Gobs of big block grunt. Oh, yeah!

Very nice, though I tend to like Buicks where all eight cylinders are lined up in a row.
Might be because my first car was a 1952 Super with the 263 straight eight and the DynaFlow tranny.

Yes Sir.
In 1970, the Buick GS or GSX with the optional Stage 1 engine was the fastest 1/4 mile production car out - faster than the 426 Hemi and the LS6 Chevelle. All day long.
You're spot on with the torque. The Stage 1 produced 510 foot pounds of torque, the most of any car out at the time.

My last year in the Army, Nov 1968 to Oct 1969, I commuted every weekend from Fort Dix NJ to Boston in this 1965 Buick Skylark which never let me down.
It was a nice looking car.

Our family car was a 69 Riviera. My sister inherited it and sold it one year after she got it. I was so disappointed because it was suppose to go to me.

I did quite a bit of work on this '70 Riviera for a friend. 455 cubes of goodness moved this big ol car along pretty well!
