Take a look at the clothes you are wearing right now.
Where were they made?
I think the only US item I am wearing are THORLO socks.

Yep. I wear Thorlo socks every day. My Cabelas long sleeve Henley is made in India and my Under Armor short in Singapore. Pretty sad indeed.

I'm wearing a pair of Wrangler jeans, made in the USA; a Wrangler long-sleeved shirt, also made in the USA. I'm also wearing a hand-tooled leather belt that I made at my work bench (I have no idea where the steer that provided the leather came from, but I'm guessing the U.S.).

Currently, I'm in my stocking feet, but earlier today I was wearing Justin boots, made in the USA. My outdoor headgear today was a well-broken-in Serratelli felt hat that, according to the Serratelli Company, was "proudly made in the USA."

My spurs were made by E. Garcia of Elko, Nevada. My pocket knife is a Case trapper, made in the U.S.

My socks, on the other hand, are anybody's guess...probably in some sweat shop in Bangladesh by an under-nourished little 8-year-old girl named Nygnh.

Goooooeeewwd news everybody!

Did somebody say "doomsday device"? Now the ball is in Farnsworth's court!

That's a Futurama reference for anybody who's not following.

Some days I'm Bender, other days I'm Fry, or even Zoidberg

Less than two percent of the clothing sold in the USA is made in the USA. Pretty sad, huh?

I just did a visual survey and I THINK my Gerber Applegate-Fairbairn full size Combat Folder knife was made here. Says Gerber USA on the blade. My small knife in this series, not on me just now, was made on Taiwan.

My pocketknife is Swiss and the nearby machete was made in El Salvador.

My glasses frames were probably made in Italy. I saw a TV news program that said that almost all are, regardless of brand. One company controls almost all eyeglass frame manufacture in the world.

My clothes were all made in either China or in Third World countries where you'd probably not want to walk or even breathe the air in some places. My Timberland shoes were made in China. My older ones, in the bedroom, are American and have fared well for 30 years.

I have a belt made in China for Macy's and the backing is peeling off. I can't find better, so will probably get a belt from a custom holster maker.

It's a danged shame that so much is no longer made here. And it's worse when you consider that it's not only made elsewhere, but that so much is BADLY made.

For those of us that enjoy Thorlo socks, they are made in Statesville, NC. If you are in the area you can visit the factory store and find everything you need, new, and the irregulars. Irregulars are substantially less that regular price and you will be hard pressed to find the flaw. I've worn them for 10+ years and love then.

Neat little deal is you visit the website and make your selection of socks, then call the 800 number and ask to talk to someone in the irregulars. You will get to talk to a nice southern lady that will tell you what they have in stock based on your list. She will pack them up for you and tell you to have a nice day. Which is just every day being nice...down here.

Their hi-tech running and hiking socks are superb. If you never tried their product, do you feet a favor!

I'm wearing my birthday suit, it was made in E. Europe! :D

Sweats are from El Salvador and my tshirt tag is to worn out to read

My Levis were made in Mexico, my shirt was made in Bangladesh, my t-shirt was made in Haiti, my underwear was made in Vietnam, my Ariat boots were made in China. and my Bailey hat was made in the USA. It is embarrassing.
