Tom Selleck's best Roles.....

I've liked all his movies/appearances that I've seen. A movie that has not yet been mentioned is: Three Men and a Baby(comedy), starring Selleck, Ted Danson, and a guy who played in Police Academy I (can't think of his name). I don't care for Danson, but it was an entertaining movie.

He's very good in Blue Bloods (only time I watch CBS) and I loved Quigley Down Under - love the ending where he says, "never said I didn't know how to use one - just said I never had much need for one". I am also guilty of watching Magnum PI when it was originally aired.

Almost got to meet him on the set in Hawaii back in 1981 but he was delayed and we had to catch a flight. My wife was a whole lot more disappointed than I was but they did give us an autographed photo.

I enjoyed Magnum and watch Quigley a couple times a year, though that may be as much for Laura San Giacomo as Tom Selleck. However at the risk of getting banned I think his best acting was in the movie In and Out.

I think he's good in just about anything he does.
Blue Bloods in my opinion is one of the best shows on television right now. ;)

I really like him. My faves in order would be:
1. Matthew Quigley
2. Thomas Magnum
3. Jesse Stone

He is a very versatile actor he can do the action rolls like Quigley, the Lighter rolls with action and humor like Magnum, are the dark brooding and moody rolls like Stone, and he can do them all as well as anyone.

He is totally believable in western clothes and settings as well and modern big city settings in a police uniform. He can do it all.

Wow...I have always enjoyed Tom Selleck. I always enjoyed Magnum P.I. until seeing it in reruns. To me it is really campy and has really mediocre acting and even make-up. I guess for its day, we all thought it great. I really enjoy his Westerns ad Quigly is fantastic. My Fiance' and I have spent many great evenings just watching the Jessie Stone series. Probably our favorite though we never miss Blue Bloods. We tape them all and have all the Jessie Stone Series...I hope he gets the funding and there is a Final/another one

Good actor. I have enjoyed all his roles, probably Quigley the most. I like his stance on 2nd Amendment and he just comes across as a truly nice guy.

Last Stand at Saber River... a made for TV movie (based on a book by the late Elmore Leonard, the original producer for the TV series, Justified).

I liked Selleck in that movie... not so much for his acting... but all of the tack and gear that was used, including clothing... was immediate post-war-of-northern-aggression period-correct.

Also liked him in Crossfire Trail... along with fella actor, Willford Brimley. Based on a book by Louis L'Amour.

I don't think too many people saw it, but he played Eisenhower in a made-for-TV movie about the run-up to the Normandy invasion. He was very good indeed as Ike, and the Brit who played Montgomery (he probably has made a living doing it for some time) absolutely nailed it.

Selleck's performance was thoughtful, and caught the strain Ike was under as D-Day approached and the decision to go had to be made. He's more versatile than some critics give him credit for.
