Forget Registered Magnums, triple locks and pre-war K 22s. This is the ultimate collectable.

Collectors you, yes you dear friend, can now own the actual home of Daniel B Wesson. You will be the envy of every S&W collector in the world. Lesser collectors will turn green with envy. You will be invited to sit at the head table of every symposium because you own White Cliffs!

This grand mansion was was originally designed as a summer home by Daniel B. Wesson, of the Smith & Wesson firearms manufacturing company. The estate originally consisted of 100 acres, with horse stables, ponds and carriage roads.

And it can be had for only 2 million dollars, a paltry sum in today's market, think of it as the ultimate gun cabinet.

Naturally there will be a small finders fell. And 2% of your money will go to supporting this forum.

Would so like to take a tour. If they were to reduce the price by $1,999,000, I could afford to buy it.

2,000,000? I think I have that in my other pants. But if its located in MA, I probably would have to pass. No offense to all the wonderful Forum members from there, Its just that I finally made it back to Texas & I wouldn't be interested in leaving The Lone Star State.

Kinda like some of the nice ladies I been out with lately. They look real good from a 1/4 mile away! Then you get within bifocal range!!!

White Cliffs has been for sale and sold a number of times over the past 25 years. The pictures don't show the banquet hall added to the back of the home. There used to be black and white marble tile leading down to the water. The banquet hall now has the tiles on the floor. My wife and I ate in the original sitting room a number of times. The owners let us have complete run of the house. It must have been a magnificent home back when DB owned it.

Restoration and preservation cost estimates range from 2-4 million.
So actual cost would be more like $5 mil.
In addition, don't forget the recurring costs for repair and maintenance with an old mansion like that even after it is restored.

I have to wonder if he left anything in behind. Like an old prototype hidden in the walls. If I bought it I would have it dismantled in a manner of weeks looking.

I wonder what it would cost to dismantle and move to Texas? :D

How about jack it up, put it on timbers, and drive it to free territory?
