Any one smart enough to determine if the S&W QC suffered during the move to Tenn....????? anyone have dates to quantify poor quality during the move time frame?????

Well, I don’t know when they started operating out of the new site, but I have an N frame M629-6, born on date 07-06-16, that is literally the best shooter I own in the hand gun department.
The M27-9, born on 9-1-‘22, got sent back home after one day. I got it back two months later, then back to factory the next day, again. It came back and the smith at the store fixed it in 1/2 hour. It’s a great shooter now. Those dates I gave you are the born on dates, not the shipping dates. Good luck. Best I could do.
