Your favorite fast food burger place ??
I normally run away screaming from fast food and chain eateries in general preferring "mom & pop" places, diners and the like.
However....... I just found a southern chain of burger joints called "Cook Out". They are outstanding not to mention inexpensive. Everything is as good as homemade!
Has anyone else tried them?
http://www.cookout.com/
What is your favorite??

In and Out is good. Only ever been in one, that would be in Prescott.
But in NM we have Blake's Lotaburger.
It's a local chain and I usually get the Green Chlli Cheeseburger.

Man, I've had so many really good burgers through the years, but the old A&W burgers in Key West (late 1960's) still rule in my book. But since the A&W is long gone, Mensi's in Collierville Tn makes a great burger if you want the bag soaked in grease, and there was a place in Amarillo TX called the Coyote something or other that had a really good one and everything is bigger in Texas!

Fudrucker's, then Butcher Block a local place, and next would be Burger King. What-A-Burger is also acceptable. Almost any place but McDonald's which tastes like cardboard to me.

Every couple of months I have to go to White Castle and give in to my self-destructive impulses.
Fortunately I live alone except for my little dog, and he doesn't mind.

When I worked on computers at Micky D's, I used there phone, a Mc Roach came out from under the phone...
The manager offered us free lunch, I said I wasn't hungry.

When I have money or, when I'm with someone who has money... Red Robin, Five Guys, both are very good. When I have some money... A Burger King Whopper is good or a hamburger plate at the Waffle House. When I only have the change in the slot of the car door, I pull in at McDonalds.

Murphy's Bar and Grille, Riverside, Iowa. Hamburgers and Tenderloin sandwiches.
Future Birthplace of Captain James T. Kirk , Star Trek fame!
We find that small town cafes in many states have the best food, rather than a fast food chain.
Of course Iowa has the best tenderloin sandwiches!
What a way to close out 2014!
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

There is a great little burger place in St. Cloud, MN called VAL'S. The whole place is about the size of my bathroom. Only make burgers and fries, and they are wonderful. Doesn't matter what size fries you order, always comes with a full bag of 'em.

I hate all....
I hate all quick burger places. We have a Cookout and they are pretty good and the price is right, but I don't see much quality. We do go there a lot to feed kids, etc. I got a bbq plate once and it just seemed watered down.

I like whataburger. There is nothing too special about it. But I like it for being 24hrs, and would pick it over McDonald's any day. I also like that everything is freshly made. It may take a little longer than most "fast food," but that's ok. And other than that, I like In-N-out, but I do not live near one. Growing up I did, and whenever I'm near one I like to go. Last time I got to go to one was in April, before that it was years.

We've been to Bagger Dave's. They have some great burgers and a good selection of craft beers. Good fries, too.
My favorite, though, is White Castle. Loved 'em since I was a wee tyke. Four, onion chips, and a Coke really hit the spot.
For the "non-chain" hamburger place, there's a place here in Dearborn, MI, Miller's Bar, which has the best burger I've ever had away from home. They cook them to order, and if you want cheese, it's Velveeta, unless you specify cheddar or Swiss. You can get fries and rings, and a good selection of beers. The best part is the way you pay. The waitresses do not give you a bill. You go to the bar, tell the bartender what you had, and pay the man. The first time I went there in 1982, I was stunned that a metro area the size of Detroit would have a bar that relied on an honest customer. In the early evening the line waiting for tables or the bar, goes out the door. You can see people, famous and not-so-famous, standing in line. Henry Ford, II, was a customer, as well as prominent lawyers, bankers, etc.

Ditto.

The toppings must be mentioned also.
The peanuts accompany me home, I'm very popular among the Blue Jays and Squirrels.

DG, you nailed it. Mickey D's was the only place my kids wanted to eat when they were young. Got to where I couldn't stand the smell. Gag factor kicked right in. To the question. Culver's cooks up a decent fast food burger. Way better than the other chains IMHO.

I was down in Las Vegas for the first time in November and stopped at a Jack in the Box on the way to the Hoover Dam. I had the Sourdough Jack. Quite good for a fast food chain.

A lot of those burger joints mentioned above aren't really "fast food". My favorite is Wendy's (any burger), followed by Burger King (Whopper only).

Chester's in San Antonio - great burger (green chili - yum!) massive beer selection.
Five Guys - well made, but the fries are a wee bit greasy for me (which does not stop me from eating them - have to protect the innocent & vegetarians, you know.) Sadly lacking in the beer selection.
Haven't found better choices in local places - fair amount of fru-fru burgers, but nothing memorable.

Tommy's Chili Cheese Burger by far the best. Tell them UPFRONT is you do no t want chili. Originally burgers only, no fries, nothing but burgers.
The one on Rampart Street in Los Angeles is a favorite hang out of the plain clothes LEO.
The one on Roscoe Blvd across from the Bud Plant was my favorite.
Had several nice chats with the owner. People told him he would never get rich doing hamburgers!!!
Five Guys must be different in every location. Tried one here about three yars ago and could not eat it.
Remember the original In-N-Out when it opened, likem them and probably now if out west.
Burger King Whopper was a meal itslelf when it came out, still OK.
Fatburger was fine when I was in that neck of the woods.
Whataburger leaves a lot to be desired here also.

I like a local area place called CJ Butcher Boy Burgers, aka cousin to a larger David's Burgers. Nothing like seeing your steak grounded to burger right before your eyes.
I do like Wendy's every once in a while although they have gotten pricey in that you could go to Chilis or Red Robin for the same price.

PRC, oddly enough, one just opened in town last week.
I've never heard of them, but I guess I'll stop by.
My local one looks like a drive through only, but it's built against a bluff, and there may be dine in on the back side.
Thanks for the lead.

White Castle: Four jalapeno cheeseburgers, fries and a chocolate shake.
Five Guys is good, but the wait is too long. Surprisingly, I like their hot dog.

best big chain fast food burger = Wendys (hot and Juicy)
best slider burger to me = krystal, I like them much better that the white castles
best burger I ever ate! at a restaurant was the mid 1970's, at a little hole in the wall place in dallas texas called chillies, salt and pepper in beer bottles, fresh cut fries, line to get in started around the corner.
wish they were still that good

Five Guys or Fuddruckers. If you really squint Five Guys is almost sorta on the fringe of fast food.
Having once upon a decade been exposed the the kitchens of a buncha McD's , there are big differences on cleaness depending on the franchise owner and/ or general mgr.
