Crazy Gas Prices...
I live in a small town in NE Texas and in this general area gas prices are currently from 1.99 to 2.05 which is a fairly reasonable range.
I just got back from Houston, where prices ranged from 1.80 to 2.19. As much as a 15 cent spread on the same block in one area! My last fill up there was 1.86 9/10.
Are prices that wide spread in other areas?

I remember that big cities used to have a wider difference between the grades of gas. Maybe a dime or more than smaller towns.

Fairly normal in my experience. I used to see the same variation when it was 3.13 to 3.43 a gallon, for example.
Nobody seemed to think it was odd.

It's dropping everywhere. The Saudis are dumping gas onto the market at dirt cheap prices. Flooding the market. The cheapest I've seen is $2.20 for regular in SE Pa

20-30 cents is normal around here. What frosts me is the price of diesel. Paid $3.01 for off-road the other day. Took three 5 gal jugs with me today to a little burg about 10 miles from me for a WM and lunch visit and found regular diesel at $2.79.9. For 21 cents a gallon I will burn regular diesel in the heaters and tractors. Off road is supposed to be .30 a gal less without the road tax on it.
BTW found some Remington 225 count 22s at WM today @11.??, so my son and I bought the last 5 boxes of it they had. Larry

It would be nice to store up some of this cheap gas cause it isn't going to last for ever.

Billwill, I agree, I would like to store some up but realistically would be glad if it would not go bad in a couple of months without stabilizer in it. Larry

My wife filled up my truck a couple days ago for $2.04 per gallon.
Last time I filled it was a while ago. With coupons we paid $2.19, I think.

In ABQ it's, for regular unleaded, $1.65 on the west side and $2.09 on the NE side of town.

I got 15+ gal yesterday for $32 ($2.08.9), would have been $65 @ $4.25. It's a raise of almost $1/hr. Now lower taxes another $2/hr and the country will have another "Reagan boom." This will negate the nonsense about "raising the minimum wage for social justice" which is just that. Joe

I agree, but here is a furniture store owner that is willing to put his money up that prices will stay low for awhile. He will give the first 500 customers $7k or more worth of furniture free if gas is above $85/barrel by close of this year....

Louisiana bases it's budget on the price of gas and right now it looks like the state is gonna take it up the chute. I do so love kaos and anarchy.
