Default Curious about post count,"likes" received and "likes" given

This is nothing new,but something I often wonder about. I notice that some members who have thousands upon thousands of posts, many having RECEIVED thousands of "likes" have only GIVEN 2 or 3 or NO "likes". I can't imagine that given the time they spend here how they never run across anything deserving of the fraction of a second it takes to click on an icon to show their appreciation of,or agreement with, posts that they respond to with such frequency. Has to be a reason. Just curious as to what it might be. Any thoughts?
