The wife and I have been watching for the last couple of weeks on Netflix...kind of hooked now.
Besides the overuse of the word forthwith, not a bad show.
So what does everyone else think of the show?

I like it pretty well. I like all the major characters except for Donnie Wahlberg's and I agree he is too intense and over the top with his aggression. The other complaint is that Tom Selleck's character is just too politically correct for my tastes. The other major characters and the general plots are fine and entertaining.

It's a good show. Unfortunately, Friday nights we go out to dinner and it seems like we always get home just in time for me to watch the last fifteen minutes. Then I say, "we need to set the DVR to record these," and then the next week we do a peat repeat...

It's okay for a show set in NYC, I guess. I hate NY, but the characters are mostly okay, save for Wahlberg's excessive temper issues. And Jamie is kind of a wimp or too PC sometimes and his partner is too pushy. I'm afraid they'll get married. But given their stated backgrounds and ethnicity, etc., it's not a bad show. I think she's of Serbian descent.

I can't stand Linda, the nurse: too rough edged and with an irritating voice. She's the hotheaded detective's wife. The couple reeks of what I hate about New York.

Donny W. is also sometimes on his wife's show, whatever that is. Found it once by accident, or a clip about it on an entertainment show. She also has a Sirius radio show, I think. Jenny McCarthy. I think their show is Jenny Loves Donny or some such. I think it's on the E! channel. Donny was filming there on a break during, Blue Bloods. His character wasn't in the scenes they were filming just then, so he loped on over to Jenny's show.

I watch it. It's entertainment. If all characters were like real life it would be boring. I don't find Danny (Wahlberg) to be aggressive at all.

Yep, Jenny loves Donny. I caught it a few times while channel surfing.

I like this show. Fun to watch. Soon as I saw this subject pop up, again, I had to reply forthwith.

And like some have stated, yes, it's just a tv show.
But it could def use some improvement in the realistic dept. And I watch it - despite it being set in NY, NY.
No offense to anyone on here, but big city life def ain't my cup of coffee.

Watched it for the first, and only time, during the Christmas break. Just an awful Hollywood fantasy of "law enforcement". The real damage done is to the uninitiated, who feel that this is how it works, or worse yet, how it should work. Does the media shape the culture, or the culture shape the media? Epic fail, either way.
On a brighter note, Bridgett Moynihan. Bless her heart. Can't act worth a damn, but looks great trying!

we have it set for record on the DVR and watch the re-runs when there is nothing else to watch...which is most of the time...if we get tired of Blueblood re-runs we watch NCIS re-runs...I am not a big fan of reality shows so I watch a lot of re-runs

Of course it's Hollywood fantasy. Would you watch that show if it was actual real law enforcement? Where nothing really exciting happens for weeks!

I like the show and have followed it on Netflix. Butt I'm sick of Don Wahlburg. He's on Blue Bloods, in every episode as lead character, and been in every other movie for the last ten years. Enough already.
