Ladder's team isn't cutting me any slack but it looks like the Senators are hooking me up. Gotta pull for the Penguins to take care of the Flyers. It just wouldn't be the same without the Bruins to root against

Thank you Boston fans for the congrats on making the playoffs
Has the countdown begun for Claude being shown the door up there? That team has too much talent on it to not make the playoffs.
The Flyers didn't impress anyone with that win yesterday and they'll need to get their act together if they are going to make a good showing against the Caps. The Pens rested some of their guys and had their 3rd stringer between the pipes in the second and third period. The Flyers struggled to get the win, but like they say - a win's a win.
Out of all the teams that made it in the East, I think the Caps is the best match up for the Flyers. IIRC, the Flyers won the season series 2-0-2. When it comes to show time, the Caps sometimes struggle so this should be a good series.
If nothing else, it'll be good experience for the young guys and Hakstol.
Me and Mrs Ref at the post game celebration yesterday.
I had to bust out my black Kordic sweater for the game since my orange Giroux jersey lost the last game I went to. The hat is from the playoff series in 2012 when they beat the Pens 4 games to 2, so that's my lucky hat for when they need to beat the Pens

It is officially official!
Blackhawks at Blues to start series.
Will be a full on never let up series. Nerves will be tested on both sides. Let me make a prediction now...The victor in this one will go far.
Prepare for some awesome hockey!
GO BLACKHAWKS!!!!

Now it's time to pick a team to root for in the playoffs. My heart says original 6 but I have a place in my heart for the Kings too. It really does not matter to me as long as we see some good hockey.

OH MY WORD! What a pathetic effort on the Blues.
Blues played for a minute and a half and scored. After that they apparently forgot they earn a paycheck buy playing the game.
Ovechkin got his 50. Seven in a row and is not only the 4th(?) player to do so.
Holtby ties Broduers record for wins in a season.
Tarensenko gets his 40th.
I have NEVER left a game early but we left late in the third.
LETS GO BLUES
LETS GO BLUES
WERE NUMBER TWO
WE DON'T TRY AS HARD!

GKG!
Unfortunately, they've been terrible the last 2 weeks and the damn Ducks are going to win the division tonight...

Well, I guess it's time that I chime in.
I was pretty positive about the Pens chances, even with the main goalie sidelined with a concussion. Then they played the Flyers yesterday. The backup goalie may have a concussion also. The "4th stringer" was called up. He's never played an NHL level game.
We can only hope...Good luck to everyone.
I shaved for the last time yesterday. I won't shave until the Pens are eliminated or they win the cup.

Hey, where were you when we needed you to root for the Sens? I'm sure labworm would have given you a slice or two.

Okie21, what you'd like to see and reality are two different animals.
BLACKHAWKS WIN IN 7. Hawks played better on the road this season.
Will take games 1&2 in St Louis, choke game 3 and win game 4?. Or vise versa. But will not be surprised with a repeat sweep of the Blues again.

In Boston it's Prince Spaghetti Day.
In the NHL it's STANLEY Cup Time.

Sorry about the Bruins. Thought they could pull it out, but it just slowly got worse.
Is coach Claude staying to oversee what may be a big spring cleaning? Or is he going to be replaced by some young whippersnapper?
What's the word in Beantown?

That sure brings back memories. That kid must be 60 years old by now.

All the Boston papers are talking house cleaning including CJ. They need to do something but Julian only had so much to work with. I hope he stays myself.

Thanks for the video ladder13. It brings right back to Boston when I was a 12 year old kid with not a care in the world. I think I had a half dozen Bobby Orr rookie cards back then. I probably used them in my bike spokes.
